Faculty Publications in Engaged Scholarship

C|M|LAW faculty members are prolific writers, publishing in a variety of places: blogs, online news magazines, and—of course—law journals. These articles and essays, which are heavily downloaded by entities around the world, are available for browsing by date here. Professor Matthew Green’s 2017 article in The Journal of Gender, Race & Justice titled Same-Sex Sex and Immutable Traits: Why Obergefell v. Hodges Clears a Path to Protecting Gay and Lesbian Employees from Workplace Discrimination Under Title VII has been downloaded nearly 10,000 times in the last year.

Our professors also contribute chapters to broader volumes and author books themselves. Some are standalone titles, while others are publications that are updated yearly, such as Professor Deborah Geier’s U.S. Federal Income Taxation of Individuals and Professor Emeritus Alan Weinstein’s Federal Land Use Law and Litigation. Professor Milena Sterio has authored, coauthored, and/or served as editor of six books about various aspects of international law during the last five years—and the third edition of Examples and Explanations: International Law, which she’s coauthoring, will be published later this year.
