March 25 & 26 Third Annual Project 400 Conference

Project 400 LogoThe Cleveland State University Diversity Institute is presenting the free virtual Third Annual Project 400 Conference on March 25 & 26, 2022.  “Project 400 began in 2019 as a year-long observation of when the first Africans were brought to the British Colonies in North America in 1619.”   This year’s program is “Changing the Game, Advancing Black Lives: From the Streets, Fields and Courts,” and will highlight obstacles African-Americans have overcome as well as identify remaining obstacles.  Keynote speakers will be Wesley Lowery, CBS News 60 Minutes Correspondent and “60 in 6” Host, and Amira Rose Davis, Assistant Professor of History and African American Studies, Penn State University.  Panel sessions will focus on “recent calls for a collective urban agenda and police reform,” and “activism from within sports led by athletes.”  Sponsored by the Urban League of Greater Cleveland, NAACP Cleveland Branch, and Cleveland Public Library.  Register here.
