OhioLINK Interruption – What You Need To Know

Due to a transition between delivery carriers, all OhioLINK lending and borrowing will be suspended for a period that may last through the spring semester.

Between now and March 10, please request any needed items you need as early as possible because we anticipate that there will be delays. Beginning March 11 requests for material through the OhioLINK Central Catalog will be completely suspended. Requests will remain paused at least until the end of April, and may extend though the end of the spring semester. Outstanding deliveries for materials already requested will not be interrupted, however, delays may continue until the new carrier is re-established.

During the transition:

  1. Try to anticipate your needs now and make all OhioLINK requests as early as possible prior to the March 11th suspension of service.
  2. Consider alternate sources for items you need. Search our catalog, Scholar: https://scholar.csuohio.edu/ , for alternate formats like e-books or for other books on the same topic using a call number search.
  3. Don’t forget that both Westlaw and Lexis include numerous secondary sources that can aid your research and study. All of our Westlaw and Lexis materials can be located using the library catalog and provide links directly into the databases. All you need to do is log on. Also, do not forget the other databases that the law library provides: https://guides.law.csuohio.edu/databases, or those located through the Michael Schwartz Library: https://researchguides.csuohio.edu/az.php.
  4. If you are looking for study aids, consider our electronic subscription to West Academic study aids, which includes titles like the Nutshell, Acing, and Concise series. These can be accessed from the law library’s webpage: https://www.law.csuohio.edu/lawlibrary.
  5. Note that the transition will not delay due dates for OhioLINK materials. Please adhere to existing due dates or request renewals through your Scholar account.

If you are unable to find alternate information that meets your needs, please send an email to libraryinformation.services@law.csuohio.eduIt is important that you use this method of contacting us for this purpose so that the request can be reviewed and the fastest means of getting you what you need can be determined. Our librarians and staff will work with you to get you what you need whether that is a new source, different format, or a way to get the item you have requested by alternate means.
