Easily Identify Legislation by Policy Area Using Congress.gov

 

Say you want to identify all of the recent legislation in the area of health for a certain period of time. This can easily be done using Congress.gov, the federal legislative portal.

From the main page, go to Browse at the top middle. From there, scroll down to Legislation by Subject and Policy Area and choose Policy Areas. There you can select Health, or any one of the 32 policy areas. This will give you the health-related legislation for the most recent Congress. You can refine your search by using the various limiters on the left of your results screen.

Other major policy areas include environmental protection, civil rights and liberties and minority issues, and immigration.
