Research Guides to Improve Lawyering Skills

Part of going to law school is learning the law, but it also entails learning lawyering skills. There are a number of options at the law library to help you improve these skills. We always tell students to refer to our guides first if they are unfamiliar with a topic and/or are looking for specific information, and lawyering skills are no different.

Part of being a lawyer is being an advocate and leader for clients and the community. Our Leadership and the Law guide offers books, articles, videos, and other media on the topic.

The Forms and Practice Materials guide is a great research tool for forms and how-to practice materials.

Our Litigation guide is available for Trial and Appellate Advocacy resources.

Finally, good mental health is important for performing at your best, so check out the Mental Health and Well-Being guide.
