For Our Graduates
To those students who are graduating this semester: Congratulations! After you have completed your studies at Cleveland-Marshall, there are many ways in which you can continue to benefit from the law school and library—even virtually.
When the library is open, you can continue to use its resources by applying for an alumni borrower’s card. The application can be found here. You still will have access to important databases, such as HeinOnline and others, from the public computers and can also access CSUGUEST, our wireless network.
While the library is closed we are available virtually by email at research.services@law.csuohio.edu, phone (216-687-6877), or chat (from the library’s homepage).
Bar Exam Prep—CALI:
We will do all we can to help you prepare for the bar exam. CALI lessons are available for up to six months after graduation to help you perfect your legal knowledge.
Westlaw Access:
You have access to Westlaw and Practical Law for six months after graduation. Your “Grad Elite” access provides 60 hours of usage on these products per month to gain understanding and build confidence in your research skills. While it cannot be used in situations where you are billing a client, you can use these tools to build your knowledge of the law and prepare for the bar exam.
In addition, you get access to Knowledge Center eLearnings and Westlaw Tutorials for 18-months after graduation.
You must opt in for Grad Elite access:
- Go to lawschool.tr.com, log in, and use the drop-down menu by your name to go to Grad Elite status

Lexis Access:
Lexis’ Graduate Program provides recent law school graduates extended access to: Lexis+, a customized version of the Law School Home Page with graduate specific content, and a choice of graduation gift from LexisNexis.
Winter graduates will have extended access to Lexis+ via their law school IDs through June 30, 2021. This ID also grants access to the Graduate Home Page. By February 1, 2021, the winter graduates’ view of the Law School Home Page will switch to the graduate view, which is helpful for job searching and career information. Graduates can also select a “Graduate Gift” from the new view of the Law School Home Page. This year’s gifts are LexisNexis eBooks and online subscriptions for Practical Guidance, Intelligize, Lexis for Microsoft Office, and Law360.
Finally, winter graduates have until January 31, 2021 to redeem their LexisNexis Rewards points.
