1Ls: Get on Your Mark, Get Set….
Amy Jarmon’s recent post in the Law School Academic Support Blog offers 1Ls some advice on getting into condition for law school: Ten Tips for Preparing for Your 1L Year lays out a great training program for the summer:
- have fun with friends and family
- read “voraciously” – including reading a couple of books on academic success written by professors or academic professionals
- visit a courtroom
- evaluate your motivation for going to law school, your readiness for long study, your “time wasters”
- have a financial plan
- talk with your family and friends about the demands ahead of you
- get into an eight hour a night sleep habit
