1Ls: Get on Your Mark, Get Set….

Amy Jarmon’s recent  post in the Law School Academic Support Blog offers  1Ls some advice on  getting into condition for law school: Ten Tips for Preparing for Your 1L Year lays out a great training program for the summer:

  • have fun with friends and family
  • read “voraciously” – including reading a couple of books on academic success written by professors or academic professionals
  • visit a courtroom
  • evaluate your motivation for going to law school, your readiness for long study, your “time wasters”
  • have a financial plan
  • talk with your family and friends about the demands ahead of you
  • get into an eight hour a night sleep habit
