Create Your Own Electronic Flashcards

Flashcards can be great for studying for the bar or for classes with a lot of memorization.  They can be particularly good for classes where you must memorize the names and holdings of cases.  If using an electronic flashcard program, you can easily cut and paste from your notes or outline.

Here are some free tools to create electronic flashcards:

Ediscio – Free.  Share flashcards with friends.  There is a free mobile phone user interface – http://mobile.ediscio.com

Cobocards – Three sets of flashcards for free. Share flashcards with friends.  Iphone and Android apps are available.  The Android app costs 2.99 Euros (about $3.80).  Short video tutorial.

Quizlet – Free.  Share flashcards with friends.  There are several Android apps and Iphone apps you can use with Quizlet.

Some flashcard creators such as Studystack only allow a certain number of characters for the answer and may not be ideal for law.

Flashcard Flash searches for flashcards over many flashcard services, including the ones mentioned above.
