Create Small Group Pages within Your Course Page

Sue Altmeyer, Electronic Services Librarian, sue.altmeyer@law.csuohio.edu | July 30, 2009 – 13:32

Using Lexis Blackboard, a professor can make group pages which only the members of a group can see. Group pages are ideal for small group assignments. They contain discussion lists and file exchanges, so the group members can post documents on the site. Instructors can see and edit everything on the group pages. The faculty member can also create group folders that the group members can see, but can not edit. See Tutorial on Creating Group Work Spaces in Lexis CoursePages.

There will be a Webinar on Lexis Course Pages on August 4 at 3:00 p.m. if you want more information.

TWEN does not have a similar feature. Most Wikis do not either. PBWiki allows creation of subgroups, but that feature costs $99/year. Of course, you could set up different Wikis or Googledocs for the different groups, and place the links on one central course page.
