All About Research Databases Beyond the Ones You Already Know

Researching any area of law thoroughly means looking beyond just the usual Lexis or Westlaw. As a CSU|LAW student, you have access to a whole array of databases that cover legal specialties as well as inter-disciplinary subjects. For law databases, have a look at our Research Databases guide, which points you toward databases covering legislative history, caselaw records and briefs, specialty treatises, and more.

HeinOnline is a specific database that covers many areas of law and non-law alike.  HeinOnline is a great database to keep in mind for older materials that are beyond the coverage of Westlaw and Lexis.

For non-law databases, have a look at the A-Z Databases listing from the Michael Schwartz Library. Some interdisciplinary databases relevant to legal research include political science, health sciences, business, education, and economics.
