National Voter Registration Day is September 28, 2021
Today is National Voter Registration Day! Established by the National Association of Secretaries of State in 2012, this nonpartisan civic holiday is annually celebrated on the fourth Tuesday of September, and “seeks to create broad awareness of voter registration opportunities to reach tens of thousands of voters who may not register otherwise.” National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) efforts encompass traditional national and local media, social media, and grassroot volunteer activities. The NVRD is guided by a Steering Committee, led by several Secretaries of State and composed of diverse and bipartisan civic leaders representing the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. NVRD work is supported by scores of Premier and local-level Partners and Premier Sponsors. For information on registering to vote, see the NVRD Register to Vote page or the U.S. government Vote.gov website. In Ohio, see the Ohio Secretary of State Register to Vote page. In Cuyahoga County, see the Board of Elections Register to Vote page.
