Congratulations!!

After completing your studies at Cleveland-Marshall, there are many ways in which you can continue to benefit from the law school and library—even virtually.

When the library is open, continue using its resources by applying for an alumni borrower’s card. The application can be found here. You still will have access to important databases such as HeinOnline and others from the public computers. Grads can also access our wireless network CSUGUEST.

While the library is closed, we are available virtually by email at research.services@law.csuohio.edu, phone (216-687-6877), or chat.

Bar Exam Prep—CALI

We will do all we can to help you prepare for the bar exam. CALI lessons are available for up to six months after graduation to help you hone your legal knowledge.

Lexis Summer Access Program

Students automatically have free unlimited use of their law school Lexis+ ID this summer. This includes workplace-related research, though students should check with their employer as many firms prefer that summer associates use a firm-issued Lexis ID. No registration is required for summer access; sign in as usual.

Lexis Graduate Program

Whether it’s the studying for the bar exam or a performing a legal job search, Lexis supports graduates. Spring graduates can continue using their law school Lexis ID through December 31, 2021. No registration required.

Westlaw Summer Access

You can use Westlaw and Practical Law over the summer for non-commercial research; no further action is required to gain access to these tools. Examples of permissible uses for your academic password include the following:

  • Summer coursework
  • Research assistant assignments
  • Law review or journal research
  • Moot Court research
  • Non-profit work
  • Clinical work
  • Externship sponsored by the school

Westlaw Graduate Access

You have access to Westlaw and Practical Law for six months after graduation. Your “Grad Elite” access provides 60 hours of usage per month with these products to gain understanding and build confidence in your research skills. You cannot use it in situations where you are billing a client.
