NAACP Opportunities to Volunteer – Remote and In-Person
The NAACP Civic Engagement Program has the goal of increasing Black community voting participation. Want to help out? There are five volunteer opportunities they are organizing, with remote and in-person options. You could –
- Text voters in your community – you’re provided with a list of 10 unlikely voters near you to contact.
- Call voters near you – you get training, and then access to an online phone bank system. Call as many people as you’d like.
- Work the Election Protection Hotline – this option is great for law students, as they’re looking for people with legal expertise. You could also staff call centers on Election Day.
- Protect people at the polls – you’ll get training, PPE, and a no-contact opportunity to ensure a safe voting environment.
- No-contact canvassing – place voting information on door and cars; PPE and safety guidelines in place.
Any of these volunteer opportunities would be a great way to Learn Law Live Justice!
