Volunteer Opportunity: Ohio Voter Rights Coalition’s Command Center

Looking for a way to Live Justice this election? One possibility is volunteering with Command Center, an election protection program of the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition. They’re looking for people with legal experience, so this may be a perfect opportunity for law students.

Command Center volunteers monitor the Election Protection Hotline, and will review a database of election issues and make follow up calls to voters, election officials and Election Protection staff to resolve problems. Volunteering with Command Center is virtual, so it is a perfect from home opportunity. You’ll need an Internet connection, phone and computer, and you’ll receive a Zoom invite during your volunteer shift so that there is a common place to discuss things as they come up.

During training, you’ll learn how to use Our Vote Live, the reporting system for the Election Protection Hotline. You’ll also get an overview of Ohio election law and frequently asked questions. Find more information on the Command Center website, or contact the host, Collin Marozzi at cmarozzi@acluohio.org.
