Free Access to Study Aids from West
Through West Academic Study Aids, you have free online access to hundreds of study aids, treatises, and audio lectures. Popular study aid series such as Nutshells, Acing Series, Concepts and Insights, Gilbert Law Summaries, and Sum and Substance Audio are also available. Follow the instructions below for access. All of the study aids and textbooks that publishers are providing free access to can be found at our Temporary Textbook & Study Aid Access page.

Instructions for Accessing West Academic Study Aids:
- 1. Go to https://proxy2.law.csuohio.edu:2443/login?url=https://subscription.westacademic.com2. You should be prompted to log into the law school proxy server. Students use your 7 digit CSU ID number and the password you use to log into the computer lab. Faculty and staff use your 7 digit CSU ID and the password you use to access your office computer.3. After entering your C|M|LAW credentials, you will be taken to the West Academic site. It should say “Hello Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Guest” in the upper right corner.
4. You can browse all the books in the collection as a guest.
Create a West Academic Account
Personalize your experience by creating a West Academic account.
Creating a West Academic account allows you to take notes, highlight, save favorites, download titles for
offline access, and more.1. Click ‘Create an Account’ in the upper right-hand corner and follow the prompts. You must use your law school email account.
2. West Academic should send you a verification email. If you don’t receive an email, contact Beth Farrell at e.a.farrell79@csuohio.edu and/or Amy Burchfield at a.burchfield@csuohio.edu
3. Once your account is properly set-up, you can log-in independently from your school’s network.
