This Just In–Ten Great American Trials: Lessons in Advocacy

Ten Great American Trials: Lessons in Advocacy is an entertaining and insightful look at ten cases that captivated the public.  Cases included are the trial of Sacco and Vanzetti, Sam Sheppard (check out C|M|Law Library’s Sam Sheppard Collection) , and O.J. Simpson, among others.  Each trial is covered in a full chapter in the book.

The authors, Glenn Altschuler and Faust Rossi teach at Cornell Law School.  This book sprang from a course they teach on Great American Trials.  Interestingly a number of Cornell Law students assisted in the research on the trials for the book.

Ten Great American Trials is of use not just for the legal history involved but also for practicing attorneys and aspiring attorneys looking for lessons in trial advocacy.
