Professor Mead and ACLU Successfully Challenge RNC Protest Zones

Professor Joseph Mead was co-counsel for the plaintiffs in Citizens for Trump et al v. Cleveland et al, the recent successful challenge to the city of Cleveland’s restrictions on protesters at the Republican National Convention. The lawsuit was filed by the ACLU of Ohio, which represented Citizens For Trump, Organize Ohio, and the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless. After Judge James Gwin issued an opinion declaring Cleveland’s restrictions unconstitutional, the parties reached a negotiated agreement on a new event zone. Read more about the case at Cleveland.com.
