Library Week: Library Apps

NLW-PSA-because-libraries-transform-lives-every-day-more-white-spaceWe’re continuing to celebrate National Library Week and the many ways that “Libraries Transform.” Libraries not only change people and communities, but also often must change themselves to keep up with new technology and users’ needs. One of the transformations that libraries have made is in providing an increasing amount of interactive and digital content. C|M|LAW Library provides ebooks through Overdrive, and “Chat with a Librarian” for when you need reference assistance and you’re off-campus.

Libraries are also making more information available for users on the go. The Library of Congress has made some legal information available in mobile apps. The Congressional Record App puts the daily edition of the Congressional Record on your Apple devices in a mobile-friendly format. The Library of Congress also maintains The U.S. Constitution: Analysis and Interpretation app. This app is a comprehensive mobile treatise that includes a clause-by-clause discussion, all Supreme Court cases interpreting the Constitution, and lists of all laws deemed unconstitutional by the Court.
