2/18 “Contagion” & Public Health CLE Symposium

EbolaCDCImageThe C|M|Law Center for Health Law & Policy is presenting Contagion:  A Conversation about Using Public Health Laws to Prevent the Spread of Infectious Diseases on Wednesday, February 18, 2014, 4:30pm-8pm, in the Moot Court Room.  The symposium will begin with a showing of the movie “Contagion,” about the pandemic spread of a fomite-transmitted virus, as well as the frantic efforts of researchers to identify the disease and find a vaccine and public health officials to contain the spread of the disease.  Following the movie, starting at 6:30pm, panelists will comment on the movie and discuss the most recent Ebola outbreak.  Panelists include Jana Rush, Chief Epidemiologist, City of Cleveland Public Health Department; Dennis Lansdowne, Partner, Spangenberg Law Firm; and Susan Becker, Professor Emeritus, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.  This symposium will provide 3.5 free CLE hours to eligible attendees.
