What Do Librarians Do?

Quite a lot actually.  A recent article by Rebecca Tischler points out some of the things librarians do.  This article lists five things that librarians do / are: teachers, tech savy, advertisers, event planners and researchers.  In additions to this I would also add:  mentor, and general helper.  Overall, I believe the best description of what librarians do is serve their patrons.  We are here to help and if we can’t get an answer we will do our best to get you the answer or get you to someone who can assist.
