Reserve Study Rooms Online!

Reserve Study Rooms Online!

Starting tomorrow study room reservations will be made exclusively online. Now you will be able to reserve a study room anywhere and anytime as long as you can access the internet. The reservation site can even be accessed with your smart phone through http://law.csuohio.libcal.com/mobile.ph. The main link to the reservation homepage is http://law.csuohio.libcal.com/  You can also reach this link through a button on the law library’s homepage.

The rules for this new online system are very similar to the old policies, so it shouldn’t take too long to become comfortable with reserving online. As always, each student will be able to reserve a study room for up to three hours each day. If you have any difficulty making a reservation, visit our instructions page or ask a librarian for help.

Some new things to keep in mind include the following changes. While before reservations could only be made three days in advance, now rooms can be booked up to a week ahead of time. This new policy will give students more flexibility in planning their schedules for tests and final exams. Furthermore, in order to ensure that only law students can reserve rooms, and not public or university patrons, students must complete the following two things for each booking. To reserve a room a student must include a C|M|LAW email in their online booking form and also respond to a confirmation email within thirty minutes of making the reservation. If you fail to do either one of these two things, your room will not be reserved for you.

One of the only negatives to this new system is that we, the librarians, might not get to see as many of you on a daily basis. Feel free to stop by the main desk to say “hi.”
