The Audiovisual Library of International Law, maintained by the United Nations, is a rich multimedia resource for audio, photographic, and documentary materials on all aspects of international law, past and present. The site is organized into three areas: (1) the Historic Archives, which is devoted to particular legal instruments, (2) the Lecture Series, which contains lectures on every area of international law by leading scholars, and (3) the Research Library, which collects links to web-based resources on treaties, jurisprudence, scholarly writing, and other documents.

Researchers will find fascinating lectures, film footage, audio recordings, photos and documents relating to the development of international law throughout the site. The Audiovisual Library lends itself well to use in classroom learning situations as well as for self-study.
