Meet our New Librarian: Jackie McCloud
Jacquelyn McCloud joined us this week as our new Digital Content Services/Reference Librarian. Jackie is a 2008 cum laude graduate of the University of Akron School of Law, with an undergraduate degree in paralegal studies from Kent State University. This August, she completed her Master of Library Science Degree from KSU. She brings a broad range of practical legal research experience to her new position here: Attorney with Black, McCuskey, Soeurs & Arbaugh, Judicial externship with Judge Deborah L. Cook of the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, litigation paralegal with Brennan, Manna & Diamond, Assistant Editor of the Akron Law Review, and Graduate Reference Assistant at Kent State University Libraries.
Most recently, Jackie was a practicum intern at our library, where she created a digital image collection and analysis of Winkelman v. Parma City School District, 550 U. S. 516 (2007) for the Cleveland Memory Project. Jackie will work on digital content initiatives and provide reference, research and instruction services as a member of the library’s research services staff.
