All About Research Databases
Researching any area of law thoroughly means looking beyond just the usual Lexis or Westlaw. As a CSU student, you have access to a whole array of databases that cover legal specialties as well as inter-disciplinary subjects. For law databases, have a look at our Research Databases guide, which points you toward subject specialties like tax and accounting, securities, legislative history, and labor and employment.
HeinOnline is a specific database that covers many areas of law and non-law alike. Hein is a really good place to think of for older materials that are beyond the coverage of Westlaw and Lexis.
For non-law databases, have a look at the Research Databases by Subject listing from the Michael Schwartz Library. Some interdisciplinary databases relevant to legal research include political science, health sciences, business, education, and economics.
