Westlaw’s New Overruling Risk Icon

Westlaw Edge, the new version of Westlaw, is now using advanced artificial intelligence (see our previous blog on the topic). There is a new keycite addition to this product: Overruling Risk (see image). Overruling risk is a citator warning that appears when a point of law in a case may have been implicitly undermined based on its reliance on an overruled or otherwise invalid prior decision. This addition is a boon to all researchers that will surely save time and produce more useful research results.
