Power Your Research with Citators
Whether using Westlaw (KeyCite) or Lexis (Shepard’s), most students and researchers know to use a citator to see if the case is good law. But don’t stop there—use Keycite or Shepard’s to get more information for your research. The citator reports have cases that analyze your case, statutes and regulations related to your case, and secondary sources. If the citator report produces too many results, there are a number of ways to limit them on the left side of the document in both systems.
You should always look to a citator report for more information when researching good cases to use. Finally, don’t forget to check the reports for statutes and regulations as well.
