Rawson Learning Commons Opening Week January 30-February 3

The finishing touches on the Rawson Learning Commons on the second floor of the law library are being made.  The grand opening will be January 30th from 4-6pm with cake served.  I’ve attached a photo of the learning commons and the poster we created highlighting the events for the opening week.  Here is a rundown of the events following the grand opening:

  • Tuesday January 31, 4-6pm, Law Library Open House—pizza & pop, a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card, and a chance to talk with vendors and library staff;
  • Wednesday Februrary 1, 4:30-6pm, The West Wing Episode “The Supremes”, with Professor Chris Sagers—discussion and refreshments to follow, and another chance to win a $50 Amazon card;
  • Thursday February 2, 4-6pm, Game Night with library staff and faculty. A number of chances to win $20 Starbucks gift cards;
  • Friday February 3, 12:15-1:15pm; Career Services Brunch Event: Successful Interview Preparation with Heather DiFranco and Sarah Beznoska, and a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card.

 

Throughout the semester be on the lookout for other learning commons events hosted by library and law school staff and faculty.
