Safety First On Campus

CSOs:

Campus Safety Officers are the people in the neon green shirts—usually located near the front entrance to the law library. The Campus Safety Officer program adds extra sets of eyes and ears to help with crime prevention. Safety Officers will walk you to your car, your dorm room, the bus stop, or anywhere on campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Just dial (216) 687-2020, or ext. 2020 from a campus phone.

By utilizing the service of a CSO, equipped with a police radio, you are only a button push away from getting immediate assistance.
Viking Shield:

The Viking Shield app when downloaded onto your phone can instantly put you in touch with Cleveland State Police.

For Emergencies:

To report any campus emergency dial 9-1-1 or 8-9-1-1 from any campus telephone. Most CSU phones have been upgraded with a dedicated “911” button near the upper right corner of the phone. This button provides direct contact with a CSU Police Dispatcher.

Cell phone users should dial 9-1-1 and tell the operator to connect them with CSU Police.

For non-emergencies, please call (216) 687-2020.

To report potentially violent activity, (216) 5BE-SAFE (523-7233).clepolicecsofficerpicjpg
