Think Safety When Studying
Just because you are concentrating on your upcoming finals doesn’t mean you should forget about safety. This includes your personal items such as computers, phones and iPads, but also the personal safety of yourself and others on campus.
So if you are studying alone in the library and need to take a break or go to the restroom: ask a friend to hold your stuff or take it with you – a moment of inconvenience can keep you from losing your expensive valuables.
Also, don’t forget about Cleveland State’s Campus Safety Officers. Campus Safety Officers are the people in the neon green shirts usually located near the front entrance to the library. The Campus Safety Officer program adds extra sets of eyes and ears to help with crime prevention. Safety Officers will walk you to your car, your dorm room, the bus stop, or anywhere on campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Just dial (216) 687-2020, or ext. 2020 from a campus phone.
By utilizing the service of a CSO, equipped with a police radio, you are only a button push away from getting immediate assistance.
