Set Preferred Jurisdiction for LexisAdvance Results
One of the new functionality features recently added to LexisAdvance is the ability to set your preferred jurisdiction(s) for the case law post-filter. If you run a search in the main red box, you get post-filters by document type on the left. One of these filters is cases, and from there you can further limit by jurisdiction. Previously, LexisAdvance ordered the jurisdiction results by number of results, so that the state with the most results appeared first. Now the jurisdictions appear in alphabetical order. But if you want to focus on one jurisdiction – say Ohio – you can set Ohio as your preferred jurisdiction and Ohio results will appear at the very top. This way you don’t have to browse to the Ohio results. Check out the other new enhancements on LexisAdvance, including searching archived codes and upgrades to mobile use.
