Getting Ready to Clerk Seminar
The C|M|Law Library and Office of Career Planning are pleased to present a “Getting Ready to Clerk” Seminar on Wednesday, March 26th, from 4:50pm-5:50pm in room LB60 (Faculty Presentation Room).
Library staff will briefly discuss research tools you should remember to be an effective law clerk this summer. The main speakers will be Christine Santoni, Reminger Co., LPA, and Jim Moss, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Cuyahoga County Prosecutors Office. Christine and Jim will discuss the types of projects to expect during your law clerk experience, how projects are typically assigned, the type of feedback you can expect on your work, and overall tips and advice on how to best approach your work product this summer.
Seminar attendees will earn 25 points toward a Law Library Research Certificate (https://www.law.csuohio.edu/lawlibrary/students/research/certificate).
To register for the Seminar, please contact Laura Ray, Instructional Services Librarian, 216-687-6880, l.ray@csuohio.edu.
Beverages will be provided, and attendees are welcome to bring a brown bag late lunch or early dinner.
Note: This is not a “how to get a job” seminar. Please see the OCP (https://www.law.csuohio.edu/careerplanning) for individualized counseling on how best to position yourself to search for a summer job.
