Sentenced to Die in Prison for Non-Violent Offenses…in the USA?

A new Report from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sheds light on the inequities of Mandatory Minimum and Life Without Parole Sentences for non-violent offenses.  According to the report, 3,278 people are shockingly serving life without parole in the United States for non-violent offenses.   The report also looks into the financial costs to the citizenry of these harsh sentences.
