Closed on Memorial Day

Believe it or not, Memorial Day is already upon us. The Law Library will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of the holiday. During the weekend the library will be open for its normal summer hours (Sat. 9-5 and Sun. 12-8).

The purpose of the holiday is included in the United States Code under Section 116 of Title 36. In addition to remembering those who died serving their country, the holiday is also intended to actively promote peace. Read 36 USC § 116 here on Cornell’s Legal Information Institute website.
