Legal Medicine Student Writing Competition
The American College of Legal Medicine (ACLM) Student Writing Competition in Law, Medicine & Bioethics is now underway. The 1st place paper will be named the Hirsh Award Winner, with a prize of $1,000, and the ACLM will pay travel and lodging costs for the winner to present his or her paper at the ACLM 23-26 February 2012 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA. The 2nd place winner will be awarded $500, and the 3rd place winner will be awarded $250. All submitted papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of Legal Medicine or other medical legal publications. To be eligible for the competition, students must be currently enrolled in an accredited law, medical, podiatric, nursing, dental, health science or healthcare administration program in the US or Canada. The submission deadline is Thursday, 5 January 2012. Submitted papers can be up to 5,000 total words and 15 pages. Previously published papers cannot be considered.
