Bath Salts, Synthetic Marijuana Now Illegal
With Gov. Kasich’s signing of HB64 [bill text and analysis from OhioCapitol Connection] which went into effect this past Saturday, the recreational drugs known as bath salts (mephedrone) and K2 or spice (synthetic marijuana) will be illegal in Ohio. The law prohibits the selling and possessing of these substances. Bath salts are currently banned in approximately thirty-three U.S. states. The Drug Enforcement Administration placed an emergency ban on bath salts this September.
