California Proposition 8 overturned

Yesterday, Judge Vaughn R. Walker of the Federal District Court of the Northern District of California issued the 138 page pdf  order in the case of Perry et al v. Schwarzenegger et al., reportedly overturning the result of the 2008 election approving Proposition 8.  Prop 8 added the following language to the California Constitution:

ARTICLE 1  DECLARATION OF RIGHTS,
SEC. 7.5.  Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.
