How “My Legs” and “Heluva” Can Help with Exams

When studying for the test or the bar exam, you might want to use mnemonics. Some examples:

My Legs for the statute of frauds.

Marriage
Year
Land
Executor
Goods
Suretyship

Heluva for adverse possession:

Hostile
Exclusive
Lasting
Uninterrupted
Visible
Actual

Thanks, Jennifer. Professor Goshien told me that they used OCEAN for adverse possession when he was in law school. It’s still around today, and appears to still be good. See AmJur2d, Adverse Possession.
