Remember to Use Antonyms When Constructing Your Search

daynight

Antonyms can be very important in the construction of searches.  For each of these if you are looking for one term it is important to see the documents that say the opposite–because these documents may have relevant information:  for example if you want to know if something is legal but your search has documents that say it is illegal this would obviously be important to your case.

Here are some examples I came up with as to why the opposite may also be good to put into a search when constructing it:

legal / illegal

adequate / inadequate

solvent / insolvent

advisable / inadvisable

day / night
