Ohio Responsive Pleading & Motion Time Limits – A C|M|LAW Alum to the Rescue!

Figuring out the time limitations for responding to pleadings and motions is not always easy.  Response times for pleadings and motions in Ohio state courts are sometimes set by the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure, and sometimes set by local court rules, which can vary from county to county.  The federal courts in Ohio can have completely different deadlines than the state courts.  C|M|LAW alumnus Michelle J. Sheehan, currently an attorney at Reminger Co., L.P.A. , put together a handy chart,  Summary of Court Time Limitations .  The chart can help guide you when determining court deadlines.  It is a good idea to check the most recent copy of the rules cited in the chart, to make sure no changes have been made (note the disclaimer in the bottom left of the chart).
