If you want some good practical advice on improving your briefs, read this great short article, Raoul G. Cantero, “Three Simple Ways to Improve Your Briefs.” , 85 Florida Bar Journal 31 (Feb. 2011). Cantero is an appellate lawyer and a former Florida Supreme Court Justice. Cantero recommends shortening the brief, including an introduction and dividing the brief into subsections.
