Stay Cool, Cleveland
With the heat upon us, it it always helpful to review hot weather safety and tips to keep cool:
- Stay hydrated—drink plenty of water and stay away from caffeine and alcohol
- Spend time at Cleveland’s public pools, or that great inland sea we call Lake Erie
- Limit any outdoor physical activity to early morning or late evening
- Know the symptoms of heat illness: people may seem “off” or to be acting different; other symptoms include nausea, muscle cramps, loss of coordination, or general feelings of sickness
