Citation Help for Treaties

Fall semester is a busy time for law review and journal cite checking, as well as for writing notes and seminar papers. If you’re working with an international topic covered by a treaty, have a look at the research guide Frequently-Cited Treaties & Other International Instruments maintained by the University of Minnesota Law Library. The guide gives you the Bluebook citation for many of the main international treaties and agreements. The guide is organized by subject, covering general international law, human rights, environmental law, trade and economic law, intellectual property, criminal law, and European Union.
