Focus on Think Tank Research

If you’re researching policy issues in say health care law or economics, then you’ll want to consider adding think tank research, data, reports and other publications to your list of research resources. Think tanks are institutions that are often affiliated with universities, governments, foundations, advocacy groups, or non-governmental organizations that produce policy research and publications. Harvard Library has a useful research guide on think tanks. One of the best features of the guide is a custom Google search box that allows you to limit your Google search to just the websites of think tanks. For example, if you searched “universal coverage” in the custom search box, your results would only come from think tank sites, and not from the web in general. The guide also provides you with a list of U.S. think tanks listed alphabetically and a list of international think tanks arranged by region.
