International Law Writing and Video Competition
The ABA Section of International Law has announced the Rona R. Mears Student Writing Competition & Scholarship Awards. The topic of the competition is Edward Joseph Snowden:
“Present legal arguments on why Mr. Snowden is guilty or alternatively not guilty of violating U.S., foreign or international laws. Present legal arguments on why the U.S. government has violated or alternatively has not violated U.S., foreign or international law through its actions disclosed by Mr. Snowden.”
$1,000 will be awarded for best written and best video submissions. Winners will also receive free meeting registration for the ABA Spring Meeting, as well as travel expenses. The international law society or law school journal submitting the most entries will win $500.
The entry deadline for written and video submissions is December 31, 2013. More information and guidelines here.
