This Just In: The Judge Who Hated Red Nail Polish & Other Crazy But True Stories of Law & Lawyers

This is the kind of book that would make, for some, excellent bathroom reading. It’s filled with intriguing and seemingly useless information about the law and the people who practice it, and it’s kind of addictive.  Did I know that British barristers’ wigs are made of horsehair and can’t be washed? That a seller in Minnesota has to disclose whether a home has been the site of any “perceived paranormal activity?” Or that two Moroccans and one Spaniard were each sentenced to 43,000 years in prison for their involvement in the 2004 Madrid commuter train bombing? No, of course I didn’t know these gems of legal wisdom, but I do now. You can find a copy of The Judge Who Hated Red Nail Polish on the New Arrivals shelf at K184 .B73 2010.
