Two Ethics Writing Competitions: Cash Prizes
The first is Notre Dame Law School’s Smith-Doheny Legal Ethics Writing Competition: $2,500 cash prize. The deadline is April 29, 2011. More information. This competition is for students only. An original unpublished work within the general category of legal ethics must be submitted, not to exceed 50 pages.
The second one is The Warren E. Burger Prize sponsored by the American Inns of Court. This competition is open to judges, lawyers, professors, students, scholars, and other authors. One must submit an original, unpublished essay of 10,000 to 25,000 words on a topic of their choice addressing issues of legal excellence, civility, ethics and professionalism. $5,000 cash prize. The deadline is June 1, 2011.
