Professional Skills and Values Important to Attorneys
A recently published law review article contains the results of a survey of Arizona Lawyers, identifying the professional skills and values they find important.
Topping the list of important skills are:
- Legal analysis and reasoning
- Written communication
- Legal research (library and computer)
- Drafting legal documents
- Listening
- Oral communication
- Working cooperatively with others as part of a team
- Factual investigation
- Organization and management of legal work
- Interviewing and questioning
- Problem solving
