Free Custom Alert Searches of Federal Appellate Cases

CourtListener provides free daily emails of new federal appellate decisions containing the terms you specify.  It is different than a Google Alert, because CourtListener concentrates on case law and appears to search the full text of the opinion.   CourtListener coverage includes the U.S. Supreme Court and the Federal Circuits except for unreported/nonprecedential opinions from the D.C. Circuit.

When performing a search on CourtListener, click on Advanced to see search connectors and filters.  You can limit the search to a particular court, or  to reported or precedential cases only.    Boolean searches such as and, or, not, phrase searching and proximity searching are available.
