Call for Submissions: Law of Armed Conflict

The American Society of International Law’s Lieber Society on the Law of Armed Conflict awards an annual Francis Lieber Prize to authors of outstanding publications on the law of armed conflict. ASIL is currently soliciting submissions for this prize. The judges will consider any works in English published or about to be published in 2012. Entries must address topics relating to the law of armed conflict, such as conduct of hostilities, operational law, rules of engagement, peace operations, counter-terrorist operations, humanitarian assistance, etc. Applicants must be 35 years of age or younger at the time of submission. Winners receive $500, a certificate of recognition, and a year’s membership in the American Society of International Law. The deadline for application is January 21, 2013. Find complete details here.
