New Ohio Cyberbullying Law
The Jessica Logan Act (H.B. 116) was recently passed by the Ohio General Assembly, adding “electronic acts” to Ohio Revised Code sections concerning Boards of Education policies, as well as student and employee in-service trainings, addressing harassment and bullying. The Act is named for a Sycamore High School student who committed suicide after months of harassment incited by the spread of a nude picture of her in a text message.
